Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson advised all citizens of Rayville to observe safety measures during Halloween festivities this year.
“Parents, if you have children who will be trick-or-treating this year, make sure they are accompanied by a responsible adult,” the chief said.
Chief Robinson stated that parents should also make sure their children understand not to speak to or get in vehicles with strangers. The chief also advised that parents should instruct their children to wait until returning home to eat any candy so parents can inspect the treats first.
The chief advised that trick-or-treating will be held between the hours of 6:30 to 9 p.m. Chief Robinson wishes you all a safe and happy Halloween.
Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
