Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson advised all motorists to be especially careful on the road during bad weather.
“When visibility is limited and the roads are wet, the chances of being involved in an accident are increased,” the chief said.
Chief Robinson advised that if there is an accident, all drivers involved should be prepared to provide their driver’s license, vehicle registration, and proof of insurance when Officers arrive on the scene. Chief Robinson stated that failure to carry these documents when operating a vehicle is illegal and will result in citations, fines, and even criminal charges in some situations.
Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
