Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind all citizens of Rayville that physical violence is never an acceptable way to resolve issues.

“If you are having a disagreement with someone and the situation escalates, your best course of action is to walk away and resolve the issue at a time when tempers are cooler,” said the chief.

Chief Robinson also advised that all parties involved in fighting or other forms of physical violence will be arrested and charged accordingly whether or not they are on the scene when officers arrive.

“If you’ve been involved in a fight or have physically handled or harmed someone, we will take the appropriate measures to hold you responsible for your actions,” said the chief.

Chief Robinson also advised that maintaining the peace and safety of the Town of Rayville is something he takes very seriously.

Chief Robinson encourages citizens to come by Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St., or call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.

“I will continue to have an open door policy,” he said.
