Bill Nash of Mangham, pastor, author, and diversified speaker, was recently one of the key note speakers for the annual state convention of the Association of Louisiana Electric Cooperatives which was held uly 26-28 at Hilton Baton Rouge Capitol Center in Baton Rouge.
Rev. Nash is the pastor of Glad Tidings Pentecostal Church in Mangham and the Author of “High Hat Sam - the life and times of Louisana Governor Sam H. Jones.”
He is also working on two future projects: The Battle of The Longs (the political lives of Gillis W. and Speedy O. Long), as well as a biography on Otto Passman, “The Powerful Passman.”
Pastor Nash in 2014 was named an honorary chaplain to the House and Senate of the Louisiana Legislature.
The ALEC consists of numerous electric cooperatives across Louisiana, including Northeast Power, with its headquarters in Winnsboro.
Nash was accompanied by longtime friend, Dr. J. Kelly Nix of Baton Rouge.
Nix is the former State Superintendent of Education, serving 1976-1984; and is a native of Oak Grove.
