As part of Louisiana’s Career and Technical Education Jump Start program, Mangham High School teacher Christi Bryan recently earned her Basic Life Support Instructors certification, as well as passed the National Registry in Emergency Medical Responder exam.
Bryan completed over 48 hours this summer at the National EMS Academy in Lafayette with the Acadian Ambulance Service.
These certifications will allow Bryan to teach Basic Life Support and Emergency Medical Responder to students at Mangham High School as part of the CTE program.
The Jump Start program provides career courses like First Responders to certify students in fields most likely to lead to high-wage jobs. Mangham, Delhi and Rayville High Schools all provide numerous CTE classes to their students in order to provide them with economic opportunity in hand upon graduation or even before.
