Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to remind all motorists that it is against the law to operate a vehicle without a driver’s license in your possession.

The Chief also advised that in addition to carrying a driver’s license, any time you operate a vehicle, you must also have proof of insurance, vehicle registration and a current motor vehicle inspection sticker.

“Failure to have any one of these documents will result in traffic citations, fines, and possibly incarceration,” said the chief.

Chief Robinson would also like to remind motorists to abide by all posted speed limits.

“Exercise extra caution in residential areas where children may be playing near roadways or where school buses may be stopping to load or unload children,” said the chief.

Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
