State Fire Marshal H. “Butch” Browning and Agriculture and Forestry Commissioner Mike Strain have lifted the statewide burn ban on outdoor burning which was issued Nov. 5.
Effective at 4 p.m. Nov. 21, outdoor burning is again allowed. The burning will be subject to all state, local government or fire department regulations and laws.
The public is urged to use caution in any activities involving outdoor burning. Browning thanks citizens for their attention and their restraint from burning during the ban.
He believes may fire were prevented and thus lives and property were saved.
