Rhymes Memorial Library will host its third Annual Gospel Singing Jubilee at 6 p.m. Oct. 15 at Richland Art Center.
Come join in an evening of blessings through music provided by The Jericho Project, Southern Grace, Sanctuary Quartet, and Southern Revelation.
One of the featured groups, The Jericho Project, with members Mike Purcell, Andy Smart, and Bill Stansbury, brings new life to traditional gospel songs, as well as contemporary Christian music. This trio uses traditional instruments such as piano, guitar, electric and upright bass, fiddle and mandolin in a wonderful mix of bluegrass and jazz renditions that make up their unique style.
Another group, Southern Grace Trio, is a made up of dedicated ladies who have been singng together for 11 years. Their sweet spirits and blended vocals make for some wonderful entertainment.
These ladies are from North Monroe Baptist Church and include Rhonda Black, Cathy Hutto, and Donna McLaughlin. You will love the harmony of these Christian women and will hear gospel music as well as some “oldies but goodies.”
Tickets are $10 per person and are available at Rayville banks, Rhymes Memorial Library, and at the door.
