
Richland State Bank board chairman Robert W. Calvert Jr., has announced that Emmett L. Brown Jr., has been named Director Emeritus by the Bank’s board of directors.
In his statement, Calvert said, “Emmett Brown has been a vital part of Richland State Bank for well over 30 years, and we are honored to have him accept the role of Director Emeritus. He is a dear friend of so many in Richland Parish and has positively affected countless lives.”
In this honorary capacity, Brown will continue to assist the bank in business development efforts and public relations activities.
He is a lifelong resident of Richland Parish, and served as President and CEO of the Richland State from 1988-1998, and a member of the board of directors from 1988-2015.
He worked with the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Department for 15 years prior to his entering the financial world with Citizens Federal Savings and Loan in 1973.
Brown is also a proud patriot, having retired as a Colonel from the United States Army Reserves. He and his wife LaQueeta make their home in Rayville, and have four children, ten grandchildren, and a growing list of great grandchildren, now numbering nine.
Richland State Bank was formed in 1902, and has total assets exceeding $300 million. It is one of Louisiana’s strongest banks, receiving a five-star rating for the past 66 consecutive quarters from Bauer Financial Services, an independent national rating firm.
