Rayville Police Chief Willie Robinson would like to encourage parents to take a greater interest in the activities of their children.
“Making sure that your child attends school, does their homework and is at home before curfew are very simple things, but can make a difference in your child’s future,” said the chief.
Chief Robinson advised that parents should know where their children are at all times and who their children are associating with. “The Bible says that bad company corrupts good morals,” said the Chief, “and this is especially true for young impressionable children. If they associate with people who are regularly in trouble with the law, they themselves will regularly be in trouble with the law.”
Chief Robinson would like to remind parents that in some situations, they may be held legally responsible for the actions of their children and may even incur criminal charges as a result.
Chief Robinson encourages all citizens to come by the Rayville Police Department at 900 Harrison St. or to call 728-4431 if you need his help in any way.
