I, Bobby Jack Mullins, announce my candidacy for the Richland Parish Police Jury, District 7, in the October election. I am married to Susie Hill Mullins; we have three children--Sarah, Katie, and Lee. We have resided in the Richland Parish Police Jury District 7 our entire lives.
I am a graduate of Mangham High School. I have worked for various road construction companies including the Louisiana Dept. of Transportation and James Construction. I am currently lead inspector for major bridges, roadways, and airports for Michael Baker Corp.
I hope to offer different perspectives to improve the performance of the Richland Parish Police Jury, District 7, where reforms are needed to benefit not only the parish, but also its citizens.
My perspective comes from my first hand knowledge of working with road construction, bridge construction, and drainage. I have also dealt with budgeting, grants, legal issues, overseeing primary and sub contractors, and public relations in my current occupation. I’d like to work with members of the Police Jury and share my experience in an effort to help the people of my district and Richland Parish.
If elected, I pledge to do the following to the best of my ability:
1. To always remember that I am here to serve you, the citizens
2. To do my best to insure that all citizens and Jurors are treated with the respect and the courtesy they deserve
3. To spend our tax money wisely and only when necessary
4. To work hard on getting our drainage and parish roads up to standards
