Riverfield Academy hosted its Young Raider Basketball Camp for grades 3-8.
The boy’s camp was held June 6-9 and the girl’s camp was held June 13-15. A total of 42 kids participated in the camps. The campers were instructed by Riverfield’s basketball coach, Mike Reans, with the help of several varsity basketball players.
Each day started off with a devotional that related to the sport of basketball.
The kids were taught not just how to play the game, but the techniques of the game.
The coaching staff taught each kid the proper way to shoot, dribble, play defense, and other vital fundamentals. The kids also played several games using their new skills and improving every step of the way.
Both camps were a success and the campers left knowing the game of basketball, while having fun at the same time.
