A Delhi man was arrested June 10 after investigators located child pornography on his computer.
Last fall, Homeland Security Investigations initiated an investigation into the solicitation of young boys via Facebook for the purpose of enticing them into producing sexually explicit images and videos of themselves to send to the Facebook account. As the investigation progressed, the Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit became involved.
On June 10, Louisiana State Police Special Victims Unit Detectives along with Homeland Security Investigations, the Richland Parish Sheriff’s Office and Delhi Police Department executed a search warrant at a residence in Delhi.
During the search of the residence, agents located 50 images of pornography involving juveniles on a laptop computer, two of which contained bestiality and bondage.
As a result of the investigation, 26-year-old Daniel L. Brown of Delhi was arrested and charged with 50 counts of possession of pornography involving juveniles. Brown admitted to receiving and possessing the images found on his computer.
Brown’s bond was set at $1,250,000.
The investigation is continuing and additional charges are possible.
The Louisiana State Police maintains close partnerships with other law enforcement agencies and will continue to work to locate and arrest those individuals who choose to participate in the crime of child pornography.
