The 2016 Northeast Louisiana Master Gardener’s eight annual spring plant sale will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. April 16 at the West Monroe Farmer’s Market, 1700 N. Seventh St., West Monroe.
A preview sale will be held from noon to 6 p.m. April 15.
The sale will feature Louisiana super plants, vegetables and herbs, houseplants, tropical plants, flowering vines, butterfly garden plants, wildflowers, flowering trees, annuals and perennials, shade garden plants and ornamental shrubs.
Local Master Gardeners will be available to help you select the best plants for your yard and garden, answer questions, provide gardening tips and even help load your car.
“Proceeds from this sale help us with the cost of materials for educational events for children and adults and our scholarship fund,” Master Gardener Debbie Beauvais said.
“Proceeds are also used for supplies for our ongoing gardening projects for certain beds at the Louisiana Purchase Gardens and Zoo and Kiroli Park, for the garden behind Market at Seventh Square, and for the Chennault Aviation and Military Museum. As you can tell, we need the community’s support.”
